Salary:  £22,400 (FTE) Grade  1 Point 1 , £3,379.54 (PRO RATA SALARY)

Hours per week / Weeks per year: 6.67 hours, 38 weeks

About the role

Here at Compass Primary we would like you to consider becoming part of our dedicated team. We are looking for a Midday Assistant who is willing to work 1:1 with one of our children.

The Midday Assistant will be responsible for:

- supervising activities and maintaining the health, safety, welfare and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break with particular focus on the named child

     - m aintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and the named child  and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.

·         - m onitoring pupil behaviour, discouraging anti-social and poor behaviour and dealing with incidents of inappropriate behaviour in line with the Academy’s Behaviour Policy and the named child’s EHCP target

·         - d ealing with minor injuries (having completed a one day first aid course), providing emotional support and liaising with first aiders and management as appropriate

·         - a ssisting children at meal times, encouraging good table manners

·         - s etting up the dining area, cleaning, clearing, sweeping and putting away
