Midday Assistant job summary
We are looking for a friendly outgoing person to join our Midday Team.
Your main duties will be to assist children in selecting their meal and sitting in an appropriate place in the dining hall. To assist the children with eating their meal where necessary. To clear the tables when the meals are finished and to clear up any associated spillages.
The ideal candidate will administer basic first aid as required where necessary and appropriate and to lead games and activities with the children, and to alert senior midday assistant and/or the Headteacher of any concerns regarding an individual child or group of children.
You will be required to attend relevant training and meetings as required and to respect confidentiality at all times.
You will need to understand and apply school policies in relation to health and safety, welfare and behaviour of pupils and to comply with individual responsibilities in accordance with the role, for health and safety in the work place.

As the duties of this post involve regular contact with children, any offer to the successful candidates will be conditional upon an Enhanced Disclosure being obtained via the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).

Working hours are 11.45 – 1.00pm 6hrs 15mins per week 38 weeks per year
