What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Midday Meal Supervisor to join our team at Norbury Manor Primary School. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the meal arrangements comply with all school policies and provide a safe environment for our pupils, including those with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage children to eat their meals and assist with cutting up food, pouring liquids, and providing support to younger children and those with special needs or disabilities
any special need or disability that requires support with cutlery and/or toiletry support.
- Support pupils in meal arrangements and teach them games during lunchtime.
- Ensure that pupils wash and dry their hands, move through the school quietly, and behave in an orderly manner in the dining hall.
- Ensure that pupils with special dietary needs or packed lunches receive the correct meals and pour water for them.
- Encourage pupils to eat their meals in a socially acceptable way and be independent in clearing away after their meals.
- Promote a positive learning environment within the school's ethos and establish constructive relationships with pupils.
