The Role
Are you enthusiastic, caring and passionate about working with children to support them at lunchtimes?
We are looking for a Midday Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team over the lunchtime period. This varied and rewarding role involves working outdoors supervising children during play and indoors supporting them in the dinner hall.
You will play an important part in ensuring our pupils have a happy, safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground areas.
- Encourage positive behaviour and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
- Support children while eating, ensuring lunchtimes run smoothly and calmly.
- Promote positive play and inclusion during outdoor lunchtime activities.
- Ensure dining and play areas are kept clean, safe and tidy.
- Follow the school’s safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and understands their needs.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is reliable, patient, and able to work as part of a team.
- Can remain calm and positive under pressure.
- Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Experience of working in a school environment or with children is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
