Midday Supervisor job summary

St. Ursula’s E-ACT Primary Academy is situated in Westbury-on-Trym, in a modern purpose-built facility that boasts a large playing field, sensory garden and wooded area. The parents and local community are hugely supportive of the school and there is a real community feeling with staff, children and parents all working closely together.


Job Title: Midday Supervisor

We are looking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our team here at St Ursula's E-ACT Primary Academy, the successful candidate will work as part of a team supervising pupils during the school lunch break, which includes attending to their welfare and domestic needs.


 

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising pupils immediately before, during and after the midday meal, including children who bring sandwiches
  • Supervising handwashing and toileting by pupils at the Headteacher’s discretion
  • Supervising pupils entering and exiting the dining area, including during any journey or walk to the dining room
  • Supervising pupils in the playground under the direction of the Lead Pastoral Practitioner
  • Setting up and removing playground equipment under the direction of the Lead Pastoral Practitioner

 

Pay range: SCP2 (£6,475 - FTE: £22,366) - 12.5 hours per week - TTO

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current First Aid qualification (or willing to work towards)
  • Ability to maintain discipline, command attention and encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times
  • Ability to work under supervision, as a member of a team and individually
