Midday Supervisor job summary

Thongsley Fields Primary & Nursery School is on an exciting journey, committed to improving the lives of the children in our care. We are looking for Midday Supervisors to join our friendly and supportive team to help improve and extend the opportunities available for our children at lunchtimes.

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic and proactive attitude to supporting and encouraging our children to be the very best they can be.

You will need to be:

• able to identify children that might need extra support to make new friends and join in games
• able to help with the domestic duties included in the daily setting up and running of a dining hall and playground environment
• calm, patient and professional
• able to model and promote good standards of communication
• organised, reliable and efficient.

Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential. We are committed to providing ongoing training opportunities for all of our staff and therefore expect successful candidates to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop their practice.
