What skills and experience we're looking for
Able to demonstrate interest in working with and interacting with children.
An awareness and ability to identify issues that children may experience and how they can be resolved.
An awareness of child protection issues, willing to be DBS checked and ability to problem solve and communicate adequately concerning issues with staff and children.
What the school offers its staff
- Staff meetings are only 1 hour and other CPD is creatively planned into the school working-day through Team Meetings and a supportive coaching model
- a wellbeing day for staff who demonstrate commitment to supporting school related activities such as discos and PTA events
- a ‘live marking approach’ which emphasises the importance of in the moment feedback as part of lessons
- regular release for subject leaders to support their subject leadership

School will be alert to signs of abuse/neglect and will follow Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Children Partnership Board’s procedures to ensure children receive appropriate effective support and protection.

Staff in school with responsibility for child protection (Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead) carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the law and are acting in the best interests of all children.
