Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) - INTERNAL VACANCY
Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a permanent, part-time Midday Supervisory Assistant based at Greentrees Primary School.
Hours: 6.25 hours per week, 11.55am – 1.10pm, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time only, excluding TD days).
Salary range B2 £20,441pro rata, per annum, (actual salary £2887 per annum), dependent on experience.
Required to start: 31st October 2023
Greentrees Primary School is a two site two form entry Primary School with a 12 place Resource Base. The school is situated on the outskirts of Salisbury. The school was judged as Outstanding in its last inspection in March 2015.
The school has strong international links and has an enquiry led skills based broad and balanced curriculum. The school prides itself on its behaviour. It is also committed to teaching children how they learn as well as the content of the curriculum. The school uses Guy Claxton’s 4 Rs of Learning and Carol Dweck’s Growth Mindset model to achieve this.
Greentrees Primary joined Pickwick Multi Academy Trust in August 2021 and strongly believes in a collaborative approach to learning.
Greentrees Primary School has an opportunity to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistants who can build up happy and caring relationships with the children at lunch times and supervise them (full training will be given).
We are keen to hear from individuals who are patient, calm, organised and adaptable. Being able to work as part of a team is essential, as well as being able to use your own initiative. A positive outlook and a sense of humour is essential.
Duties will include the supervision of pupils, either in the lunch hall or other areas in the school, whilst they are eating lunch or taking part in lunchtime activities. Associated duties will include clearing and cleaning of dining hall and equipment including light manual handling.
The jobholder must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual Safeguard training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguard concerns.
