This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, Ofsted-rated Outstanding school at a pivotal time in our journey.
Why You’ll Love Working with Us:
- Outstanding School Environment: Join a school recognised by Ofsted as Outstanding, where high expectations, strong leadership, and a nurturing ethos are at the heart of everything we do

- A Clear Path to School Leadership: With a new school site opening in 2027/2028, this is a prime opportunity to step into a leadership role with real scope for career progression.
- Collaborative & Friendly Team Culture: Be part of a staff community that values teamwork, mutual support, and a shared commitment to making a real difference in the lives of children with severe learning difficulties
- Ongoing CPD: We actively encourage and invest in your growth from formal training and performance management to opportunities for mentoring, peer observation, and leading initiatives
- Meaningful, Purpose-Driven Work: Make a daily impact by helping pupils reach their full potential in a setting tailored to their individual needs, with a strong focus on inclusion and wellbeing.
- Engaging Whole-School Involvement: Contribute to school-wide planning, after-school activities, curriculum development, and wider community connections. No two days are the same!

As a Middle Leader at Amwell View School, You Will:
- Lead and support a team of teachers and teaching assistants to deliver high-quality, personalised learning experiences.
- Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and monitoring within your team, ensuring consistency and progress for all pupils.
- Deliver and participate in professional dialogue, coaching, and constructive feedback to drive improvement in teaching and learning.
- Play a key role in the development and implementation of school priorities, working closely with both the Middle and Senior Leadership Teams.
- Support staff development through mentoring, identifying CPD needs, and contributing to whole-school training.
- Monitor and support pupil behaviour, working collaboratively with parents and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
- Contribute to EHCP writing, IEP targets, outcome setting, and high-quality record keeping.
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings and whole-school strategic planning.
- Lead regular team meetings and ensure effective communication and follow-up actions.
- Be a visible, proactive presence in school life — including lunchtime duties, after-school clubs, and wider school activities.
