MIDDLE LEADERSHIP POSITION: ENGLISH CURRICULUM LEADER job summary
Governors are seeking a highly driven and creative specialist English teacher to lead a dedicated team of specialist and non-specialist English teachers, ensuring a challenging and robust curriculum with the highest standards of delivery. The post will involve delivering English across all key stages and the full ability range, including GCSE English Language and English Literature. The ability to teach Drama at KS4 would be an advantage but not essential.
The post holder will be a member of the school’s Middle Leadership Team, contributing to whole school self-evaluation and improvement.
Corley Centre is a secondary special school for children with complex social and communication difficulties. A significant number of students have an autism diagnosis. Students bring a range of abilities and aspirations, special educational needs, vulnerabilities, challenges and behaviours. Student attainment covers the full National Curriculum and GCSE/vocational range.
The school has been awarded NAS Autism Accreditation and a comprehensive package of training will be provided.
