Although hours will normally be 8.15am-4.45pm flexibility is a key attribute.
We are seeking to appoint a well-organised, efficient and enthusiastic individual to liaise with the Academy’s Senior Leadership Team to provide assistance and support in the strategic management of SIMS, data, staff and student timetables and examinations.
The role will involve a wide range of tasks including:
- Developing the use of SIMS Assessment Manager, Attendance, Profiles and Behaviour modules and support staff in their day to day use of the system including staff training.
- Creating and maintaining the assessment database and ensuring that assessment data held on students is accurate and complete.
- Analysing academy data and producing reports on areas such as progress, attendance, effort and behaviour at times set out in the assessment calendar.
- Working alongside the Assistant Principal with responsibility for the monitoring, recording and reporting cycle at the Academy.
- Line-management of the MIS, Data and Examinations Officer and Examination Invigilators.
- Liaising with students, staff and parents in relation to exams and taking responsibility for sending of reports and examination information.
We are keen to attract individuals with proven database experience including reporting, information management and the ability to analyse trends and present data. Prior experience working within a school or similar establishment and a good working knowledge of SIMS would be ideal.
You will be a proactive individual with excellent IT skills who can meet deadlines and complete tasks to the highest standards. The successful candidate will have a good attention to detail, the ability to manipulate data and experience dealing with young people. Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels will be key.
