Required for April 2022

The Ellesmere Port Church of England College is looking to appoint an ambitious Modern Foreign Languages Associate Lead Practitioner (Spanish specialism) to model excellent practice, share their skills and experience with colleagues, and lead on the improvement of teaching skills.

The MFL Associate Lead Practitioner will work closely with the Director of Standards (Teaching and Learning) and colleagues both throughout the College and within the department, to drive continuing improvement in the quality of Teaching and Learning and students’ progress in MFL / Spanish, across Key Stages 3 – 4. This role is also part of the ambitious and exciting team of Lead Practitioners already at the College.

The successful candidate, who may be looking for the next step in their career, will be an outstanding practitioner, with a proven track record of success in the classroom, who can demonstrate experience of raising attainment in Spanish across Key Stages 3 – 4. A dedicated, talented and enthusiastic individual, you should be passionate about Teaching and Learning and developing pedagogical approaches that inspire learners.

The ability to be a highly successful team player in a busy, fast-paced environment is essential. You will have the capacity and energy to drive improvement and to develop collaboration within the department.

Our ambition is to grow MFL into the sixth form and be able to offer it as an A Level subject in the near future. Therefore, you should demonstrate high aspirations for our students.

The successful candidate will have access to a range of CPD opportunities / leadership qualifications (including NPQs) which could equip the successful candidate with the skills and experience to progress to a whole-school Lead Practitioner role at the College.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to champion the College’s development, by joining us on our exciting journey and helping us to ensure our students receive a world-class education, thereby enabling each child to reach their full potential.
