What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a talented, dynamic and innovative teacher of MFL to join our growing and highly successful MFL team. This post would be suitable for an enthusiastic teacher, with a real passion for languages and the ability to teach KS3 French and/or Spanish and either French or Spanish to GCSE. There may be potential to also teach either French or Spanish at A-Level; however this is desirable but not essential.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner who has a ‘can do’ attitude and positive view of change and will display a proven track record of student learning outcomes in this exciting subject area. A variety of teaching strategies are implemented to make language learning stimulating and challenging, and teaching within the department is lively, varied and effective.
What the school offers its staff
The College was inspected by Ofsted in July 2022, and we achieved our third consecutive “good” judgement. We are proud of our report and the recognition of the positive experience we provide for young people. The successful candidate for this post will have a commitment to maintaining consistently high standards, and a proactive approach to ensuring the best possible outcomes for students.
By working at Torpoint Community College you will be joining a very friendly and professional team, in a lovely location in the forgotten corner of South East Cornwall which has a stunning landscape of tidal creeks, sandy beaches and farmland. The College sits amongst its own well-maintained grounds, there is free parking and there are ample opportunities to participate in a range of staff wellbeing activities and events.
