We are looking to appoint a talented music teacher. It might be your first year of teaching, or you may be looking for the opportunity to lead a key stage.
This is an exciting prospect to join a highly successful, experienced and supportive department and be rewarded with the opportunity to teach across key stages 3 and 4. The music department is extremely well resourced and well supported within the school.
The successful candidate will be someone who believes that all students can achieve highly and is prepared to support learners who are ambitious and keen to succeed, both within lessons and through promoting extra curricular work,

William de Ferrers School is based in the centre of South Woodham Ferrers, a riverside town on the north bank of the River Crouch. The school is approximately 14 miles from the city of Chelmsford, with good rail links to London Liverpool Street.
The school is housed in a purpose built community complex which is unique in Essex, benefiting from excellent accommodation and extensive grounds.
The school was rated 'good' by Ofsted in December 2018.
William de Ferrers currently has a seven form entry with the main pastoral organisation based on a year system. Great importance is attached to high standards of conduct, dress, attitude and work. A large percentage of students stay on to join the sixth form and year 12 and 13 students are an integral part of the whole school, they make a valuable contribution to the life of the school supporting younger students across a wide range of activities.
The school is proud of its highly motivated, hard working and committed staff and runs an extensive induction scheme. We offer a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff which encourages them to be able to continually provide an enhanced service to the school community.
