We are looking to recruit a Cover Teacher for our Primary School to start in September 2022. The role will cover all age groups, EYFS to Year 6. We are seeking applicants that offer Music as a specialism. You will be required to work with Year Leaders to plan appropriate lessons, give feedback on these subjects and mark where required. As a two/three form entry school these sessions will run as a carousel so that the staff are released to have joint planning time. As part of this role you will be responsible for running an after school club up to two nights per week. You will also plan and coordinate our peripatetic music lessons, deliver weekly singing assemblies and support with whole school productions and performances. You will have a weekly timetable.
The position is ideally suited to prospective future teachers, looking to gain experience before undertaking further training to become qualified teachers. As part of the United Learning Trust there are internal training schemes that may be appropriate to support potential candidates in becoming fully qualified teachers in the future. We are ideally looking for a candidate with an appropriate degree level qualification in Music or similar.
