We are looking to appoint an exceptional professional who will join a highly successful, enthusiastic and talented Expressive Arts team and work with us to inspire our students. The role will involve teaching Music with the opportunity to teach Music Technology alongside the Team Leader for Expressive Arts who is a Music specialist. The role would be suitable for an ECT or an experienced teacher looking to join an inspirational team.
Debden Park High School is a heavily oversubscribed Academy that Ofsted judged to be Outstanding in January 2017. We constantly achieve outstanding outcomes for our students. We have a passionate and energetic Expressive Arts team, who thrive on working collaboratively. We are well resourced and dedicated to developing the full potential of our students. The successful candidate will join a Team Leader and driven team and will be someone who is visionary, innovative and committed to moving learning forward in an exciting and active way. Music is a popular choice at KS4 and KS5 and our results are impressive.
What the school offers its staff
Our curriculum is enriched with regular performance opportunities and over 80 students a term taking private instrumental tuition in school. We are a well equipped subject with a fully functioning recording studio and a suite of 30 Apple Macs that are used in lessons at KS3 to KS5. We are part of a family of schools within the Kemnal Academies Trust. Every week staff take part in 2 hours of Debden Minds which is a bespoke CPD programme focusing primarily on the development of teaching & learning.
We provide exceptional career progression for staff, which leads to our Middle and Senior Leadership teams being composed of many teachers who began their career with us.
