Music Teacher job summary
Our Performing Arts Department
Due to the promotion of the previous post-holder, we wish to appoint a colleague to contribute to the continuing success of music and who has the desire to work in an outstanding area of the school.
We have a fundamental belief in the power of the arts to transform lives, so music is a critically-important subject for us. The department offers a supportive and invigorating environment and delivers a creative and engaging curriculum. Music is housed in a brand-new suite of rooms, including a composition suite and the successful candidate will need to be able to use Logic Pro-X and other DAWs, as well as being innovative in their support for students who are exploring musical futures. Music events, productions and trips are a key part of our culture; please do read the Role Information document for more information.
Results are outstanding and there is an impressive track record of progression to prestigious establishments, including The Purcell School of Music, Guildhall and The Royal College of Music. The ability to contribute to the ethos of the school and assist with our programme of additional opportunities, whilst maintaining our high expectations, will be vital for the successful candidate. We also have a close partnership with the Hounslow Music Service who base their weekday music school on our site.
