Whitefield School seeks a technician to work three days per week in our busy and expanding Music Department.
The successful candidate will be capable of installing, using and maintaining all the technical equipment associated with the production and performance of music (ie computer hardware, software, studio equipment, electric and acoustic musical instruments and amplifiers).
He or she will work alongside a talented team of classroom and instrumental teachers and will be able to support them in teaching students pursuing a range of Music and Music Technology qualifications. The successful candidate will be able to assist students both in class and individually, support exam classes in music, and make the most of the school’s music production suite of iMacs and its recording studio. They will also be involved in the day-to-day administrative and resourcing tasks of this busy department.
They will also be called upon to assist with the sound reinforcement requirements of the various public events which impact upon this busy department - concerts, assemblies, the school show, special events etc.
The post is suited to an ambitious, forward thinking music technician, looking to further their career in a supportive and inclusive school.
