We are entering a new paradigm in E-ACT where we aim to become ‘best in class’. We have been reviewing our education and operational strategy, our governance and our organisational culture. E-ACT is a National or System Leader Multi-academy trust, in that we have 28 academies, serving circa 18,000 pupils across multiple regions and 5 Regional Schools Commissioners. We provide education in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Oldham, Buckinghamshire, Northants, Sheffield and Walsall. 27/28 academies are good or outstanding. We serve some of the most disadvantaged children in the country.
E-ACT is 14 years old and one of the most established trusts in the country. We report to a high quality board of members and trustees chaired by Lord Jim Knight, former Schools’ Minister. We have learnt a great deal as MATs have evolved over time and are all very excited about our next phase of growth and development.
