Are you passionate about shaping the digital future of education? We are seeking a dynamic Network Manager to be a key player in our IT support team. You will be based at North Durham Academy, contributing to the seamless operation of our ICT networks.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all ICT equipment, maintaining network security, and supporting the effective use of IT resources across the school. You will manage day-to-day network operations, including regular backups, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and offering support to users.

A key aspect of your role will be to monitor and develop ICT resources for staff and students, ensuring networks are secure, functional, and free from viruses. You will manage external links, including internet access, ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place. Additionally, you will maintain an inventory of ICT equipment and assist in the purchase of new resources, offering advice on hardware, software, and e-safety matters.

You will also support school events with ICT requirements, assist with the development and maintenance of the school’s website and learning platforms, and provide technical advice to staff on the latest ICT developments.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical and organisational skills, experience in network management, and a commitment to safeguarding students. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and act as a positive role model for students and staff.
