Welcome to our federation. Here you will find out more about our federation and how it brings together the excellence of both schools. Children’s House provides outstanding nursery provision for 2-4year olds. Old Palace is a two-form entry primary school, which achieves strong academic outcomes, consistently above the national average.

Both schools have a rich history. Children’s House Nursery is housed in a listed building, which has been serving local children for more than a hundred years. Old Palace was rebuild after the original building was bombed in 1942. It is named after a royal hunting lodge, which once stood on the site. We are proud of our heritage and the high quality education we have delivered to the local community over the decades.

We are very much aware of the responsibility that we have in ensuring that children enjoy coming to school. Are supportive environment helps secure the highest standards of care and education for our children. Strong teaching, first hand experiences and an ambitious curriculum allows each child to succeed by building on what they know, understand and can do.

The importance of physical and emotional health is recognised and we strive to help our pupils and families to adopt healthy habits, including when online. Pupils are taught to develop positive relationships, to value diversity and to care for each other, their community and our world. Visitors often comment on the calm and purposeful environment found at our schools, which reflects the high aspirations we hold for our children.

If you are interesting in applying for one of our schools, please get in touch. We look forward to welcoming you and showing you what makes our schools such special places to learn and grow.
