Rowdown Primary School is a two-form primary school in the south east of the London Borough of Croydon. The Role
As our Nursery Teacher, you will:
- Create a welcoming and stimulating environment for children aged 3–4 years old.
- Plan and deliver creative and age-appropriate lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and lay the foundation for lifelong learning.
- Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth through play-based and structured activities.
- Work closely with parents, caregivers, and other staff to support each child’s individual needs and foster a love for learning.
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards, ensuring each child’s safety and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) with experience in early years education.
- A genuine passion for early childhood development, with a focus on creating a positive and supportive environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and support staff.
- Patience, creativity, and a sense of humour—plus a willingness to celebrate every small step of progress!
