Nursery Class Teaching
Academy Trust would like to recruit a Permanent Nursery Teaching Assistant based at Ivy Lane School.
Hours: This role is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday
to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm (including half an hour lunch break), 38 weeks per
year (term time, excluding TD days).
Salary D4-D6 - £18,933 - £19,698 pro rata
(actual salary £16,045 - £16,693 per annum)
Required to start: 3rd January

Ivy Lane School is a two-form entry
Primary School in the centre of Chippenham, Wiltshire. We believe in ‘Learning
for Life’, aiming to equip every child with both the skills to be successful
beyond their primary years and a life-long appetite for learning. The school

Provision. We also have an extensive provision of social and emotional support
for our children.
We are looking to appoint a new
member to our team to perform the role of Nursery Class Teaching Assistant for
the nursery children at Ivy Lane Primary School.
As a Teaching Assistant you must be committed
and flexible, be able to support groups and individual children with their
learning. Being able to work as part of a team is essential as well as being
able to use your own initiative. The
successful candidate will be an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant and need
excellent communication and liaison skills and will be closely supported by the
Early Years leaders and teachers, along with the rest of the team.
Duties will include:
pupils learning, either in groups or through 1:1 work. The exact tasks will depend on the learning
support needs of the pupil/s
pupils self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
physical/personal care to pupils where required
the Teacher/s and lead Teaching Assistant
the curriculum - Support the delivery of the Early Years Framework and the
enhanced curriculum offered by the school.
the school e.g. assisting with setting up, storing and retrieving and general
maintenance of classroom equipment and teaching aids.
the children during lunchtime. Serving hot school meals and monitoring children

experienced Early Years Teaching Assistants who are patient, calm, organised

Duties will include the supervision of pupils, either in the lunch hall
or other areas in the school, whilst they are eating lunch or taking part in
lunchtime activities. Associated duties
will include clearing and cleaning of dining hall and equipment including light

promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual
Safeguard training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguard concerns.
