We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Nursery Lead Practitioner to lead our nursery provision and create an exceptional learning environment for our youngest children. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who believes in the importance of personalised learning, high-quality interactions and learning through play.

Our nursery offers a rich indoor and outdoor learning environment, including access to our woodland area, where children are encouraged to develop curiosity, confidence and independence through exploration of the natural world.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 6 Early Years qualification, EYTS, EYPS or QTS or equivalent full and relevant qualification.

  • Has a strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage.

  • Is passionate about delivering high-quality, child-initiated, play-based learning experiences.

  • Understands the importance of sustained shared thinking and high-quality adult-child interactions.

  • Has a genuine love of outdoor learning and is excited by the opportunities our woodland area provides.

  • Builds warm, positive and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.

  • Has a calm, nurturing and caring approach and places children's wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.

  • Can lead by example, inspiring others through excellent practice and high expectations.

  • Is committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day provision within the nursery.

  • Create an engaging, enabling environment that supports children's interests and promotes independence.

  • Plan and facilitate high-quality learning experiences based on children's needs, interests and developmental stages.

  • Champion outdoor learning and maximise opportunities for learning in natural environments.

  • Foster strong partnerships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Support the assessment and development of children through observation and responsive planning.

  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding.

  • Work with the Early Years Leader to deliver phase events and to develop the curriculum.

We can offer:

  • Enthusiastic, curious and happy children.

  • A welcoming and supportive team.

  • An established learning environment.

  • A beautiful outdoor environment, including woodland learning opportunities.

  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.

  • The chance to develop exciting nursery provision where children flourish through play.

  • The chance to be involved in building and promoting our nursery.

If you are passionate about giving children the very best start in life and believe in the power of play, relationships and outdoor learning, we would love to hear from you.
