What skills and experience we're looking for
Parsonage Farm Nursery and Infant School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Early Years trained Learning Support Assistant to join our great Nursery team from September 2023.
We are looking for applicants who, ideally, have experience of working in an early years setting and have an NNEB/NVQ 3 or equivalent in Early Years. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/early-years-qualifications-finder
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a warm, caring personality
- Puts the needs of the children first
- Has a good understanding of very young children’s needs and how to develop these
- Has high expectations of learning and behaviour for all children
- Has the confidence to support children who may exhibit more challenging behaviours
- Is committed to ensure that every child reaches their potential
- Has the patience and imagination to help and inspire children with their learning in all areas of the EYFS
- Is able to work under the direction of the class teacherbut also can show initiative
- Has excellent team working skills
- Has an ability to communicate effectively with children and staff
- Is conscientious and enthusiastic
- Has a good sense of humour
- Has Paediatric first aid training (desirable)
