Parsonage Farm Nursery and Infant School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Nursery Learning Support Assistant to join our great team from 2nd January 2024.
The role will involve supporting all Nursery children, as well as at times, working 1-1 and with small groups within the setting.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate empathy for children and be responsive to their needs, be able to work under direction and under their own initiative and enjoy being part of a hard-working team.
The hours for this position will be 12.20pm – 3.20pm Monday to Friday, but there could be a possibility of extra hours.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a warm, caring personality
- Puts the needs of the children first
- Has a good understanding of young children’s needs and how to develop these
- Has high expectations of learning and behaviour for all children
- Has the confidence to support children who may exhibit more challenging behaviours
- Is committed to ensure that every child reaches their potential
- Has the patience and imagination to help and inspire children with all areas of EYFS
- Is able to work under the direction of the class teacherbut also can show initiative
- Has excellent team working skills
- Has an ability to communicate effectively with children and staff
- Is conscientious and enthusiastic
- Has a good sense of humour
The position is to start from 2nd January 2024 and will be until July 2024 initially but could continue after that.
