EARLY YEARS Nursery Manager

We are seeking a Nursery Manager for the Lawns Nursery.

The role of the Nursery Manager is to ensure all children attending The Lawns Nursery receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Nursery, ensuring that all children are supported in a safe stimulating environment and all staff are motivated to fulfil their role to the highest standard.

You will be comfortable communicating with parents, children and staff to guide and support with the aim of fulfilling our mission to provide the best possible child care.

You will have a high degree of integrity and initiative in managing your own performance and self-evaluation.

You must be passionate about providing excellent standards of child care and should be confident, proactive, hard working with excellent communication and organisational skills, while being dedicated to provide a high level of care and support in delivering the EYFS for all children from birth to 4 years.

We have 3 early years’ settings at the Academy. The Lawns Nursery and our preschool look after children from their 2nd birthday. Children move from the pre-school or nursery settings to Blossom on the turn of their 4th birthday. All of our settings promote independence in children. Blossom prepares them for Reception class, they still have a play focussed environment following the EYFS, but dine in the main hall and take part in physical education lessons.

The through model can work to outstanding effect, particularly with regard to pastoral care, student welfare and the quality of relationships between each member of the school community. Our skills and experience in these areas are crucial and, alongside our innovative approaches and the wide-ranging opportunities we provide for our pupils, help create our unique ethos.

Our aim is to inspire all children with a love of learning and to create special and happy memories of their time with us. Children learn best when they feel safe to take on challenges, are interested and feel valued. Learning is celebrated and openly admired.
