Nursery Manager job summary

We are seeking to appoint a full time Nursery Manager for Carnforth School to cover maternity leave. Our School is a bright and vibrant one-form entry Primary located close to Worcester City Centre. Our motto ‘Inspiring Excellence’ is rooted at the centre of the school community and curriculum. As a school we have high aspirations for all our learners, and our school curriculum engages and encourages learning as a way of life. Carnforth School is part of The Black Pear Trust family of schools. It is a small, friendly Multi Academy Trust based in Worcestershire. Main purpose of the job:

Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in Nursery ensuring equality of opportunity for all

Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct

Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to your professional position

Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils

To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training

Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

To adhere to the school’s staff code of conduct

To lead and manage Early Years Practitioners and oversee the daily running of the nursery provision
