We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking school where inclusion, high expectations and pupil wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion, providing tailored support to individuals and small groups to help them access learning and experience success.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance learning and attainment, contributing to a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
- Deliver the Nursery Curriculum to the highest standards.
- Promote inclusion and encourage participation of all pupils, including those with SEND.
- Deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups.
- Contribute to assessment, monitoring and recording of pupil progress.
- Support behaviour management in line with school policy.
- Work positively with parents, carers and external professionals.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children or young people.
- Hold GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent).
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have a good understanding of inclusive practice and safeguarding.
- Be calm, patient, resilient and committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification and paediatric first aid training are desirable.
