NURSERY PRACTITIONER job summary

NURSERY PRACTITIONER

Opportunities in our Nursery Team:

Early Years Practitioners (Full-time, Part-time, lunchtime cover and Bank staff roles)

We are always happy to hear from experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Nursery Practitioners who are interested in joining our busy and expanding Nursery, situated in the heart of Newmarket.

Our modern, purpose built Nursery offers full time day care for children aged from three months to Reception. The Nursery is bright, vibrant and a lovely place to work!

Set within the grounds of Fairstead House School, the Nursery enjoys all the facilities available to the school, including use of the Performing Arts Centre and musical instruments, the Main Hall and gymnastic equipment, together with specialist language, PE and music tuition for the older Nursery children.

Our small room sizes ensure that each child receives individual, bespoke care and attention.  Our friendly and welcoming team of staff are dedicated to providing new challenges for the children in a safe and nurturing environment.  We encourage all areas of career development for our staff.

The role is ideally full-time, from 7.30am to 6.00pm for four days a week.  Part-time attendance of fewer days will be considered, but the length of day is usually a requirement in order to ensure stability for our children and families – except for the lunchtime cover role. There is also the opportunity for staff to join our dedicated team of Bank staff, who work on an ad hoc basis when needed to cover absence for holidays or illness.

A qualification of NVQ Level 3 in childcare and previous experience in EYFS are desirable but not essential.  Please see the full Job Description attached.

The salary will be highly competitive and commensurate with experience.

Fairstead House is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and the receipt of satisfactory references.
