Nursery Practitioner (Qualified) job summary

Our Nursery Practioners ensure children have a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment. If you have great communication skills, this could be the role for you.
We are looking for a caring, friendly and dedicated qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will have:
NVQ Level 3 or relevant qualification equivalent in Early Years Foundation Stage
Have suitable mathematics and English qualifications - either functional skills at level 2 or a GCSE qualification tp at least grade C (grade 4)
Have sound ICT skills;
Can work as part of a team that plans for and delivers the EYFS for children aged 2-5 years, by tuning into their individual needs and next steps;
Is enthusiastic about delivering an inspirational indoor and outdoor learning environment to meet the needs of all the children in the setting;
Has experience and knowledge of maintaining care routines and making strong partnerships with parents and carers;
Is willing to deputise whilst the Nursery Teacher has non-contact time
A particular interest in Outdoor Learning and/or SEND would be an advantage

Experience and qualifications relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage and a good level of qualifications in terms of English, Mathematics and ICT are essential.
The pro rata salary for this position is £17,036.11 per annum

Churchwood Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We are a caring and creative school. With one class in each year group, we are able to guide and support our pupils to achieve their best. Situated in the picturesque setting of Church Wood, our pupils enjoy learning outside the classroom in our forest school, woodland playground and large playing fields. Our speech and language provision is a key strength: we have a Autism Spectrum Disorder unit for Key Stage 2 pupils and a Speech and Language therapist.
