What skills and experience we're looking for

A rare and exciting opportunity for a Nursery Site Manager at our Liskeard School Nursery within the SMART Trust has arisen.

Liskeard School Nursery are looking to recruit a qualified level 3 Early Years Practitioner who will take on the role as Nursery Site Manager, supported by our SMART Nurseries Manager.

The applicant will be passionate in providing a safe, nurturing and enabling environment for all of our nursery children. You will be strongly focused on professional development, use your own initiative, liaise well with the SMART nurseries’ manager, be a strong communicator ensuring staff, children and parents are effectively supported.

The role will include;

- Day to day management of the nursery

- Responsible for the day to day management and deployment of all Early Years staff

- To communicate regularly with SMART Nurseries Manager to maintain a safe environment for children on a daily basis.

- To contribute to SEND reviews, meetings with parents/carers, and to undertake home visits as appropriate.

- To ensure day to day maintenance of accurate records, e.g. daily registers, accident book, incident book etc.

- To follow systems of observation and record keeping so that children’s attainment and progress is effectively and regularly assessed.

- To contribute to the effectiveness of assessment procedures.
