Nursery Teaching Assistant job summary

As a member of support staff at Malmesbury Park Primary School, you’ll be working in a team of like-minded individuals who all want the best for the learners in our school. You’ll be working in the nursery, ensuring the children are safe and sensible while learning and playing. You’ll make sure our children uphold our high standards of behaviour, develop a love of learning, and provide extra help to children who need it.
Please note that the hours for this role are part time Monday to Thursday, with a full day on Fridays.

We are looking for the following experience and qualities:
• Empathy with pupils and sympathetic to their needs
• Proven literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to O’ Level or GCSE pass)
• Good communication skills and able to clarify and explain instructions clearly to adults and children
• Good organizational ability
• Firm, sensitive and effective approach towards pupil behaviour management
• Ability to work with the teacher in the delivery of teaching activities
• Team worker
• Professionally discrete and able to respect confidentiality at all times
