If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Nurture Teacher/SEMH Specialist at Queen Katharine Academy.

Your Role

You will work within our specialist SEMH (The Junction) provision at Queen Katharine Academy. You will have high ambitions and a positive approach to developing a nurture-based and personalised curriculum, dependent on the needs of individual learners, many of whom have significant difficulties with social, emotional and mental health.

You will be highly skilled and experienced with a clear understanding of nurturing principles and how they are applied to develop outstanding practices and outcomes for young people.

This exciting opportunity is possibly suitable for a primary teacher who is ambitious and has an interest in working with older students.

You will: 

Hold Qualified Teacher Status

Be able to model outstanding practice in literacy, both within the department and across the wider curriculum. 

Be able to prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities. 

Be enthusiastic about helping young people to succeed. 

Have the ability to form strong professional relationships with young people. 

Have high expectations for the behaviour and academic progress of young people. 

Be ambitious and have the energy and creativity to make a significant contribution to the whole academy.
