Office Administrator: Maternity Cover

Hours: 35 hours per week 8:15am - 3:45pm Term Time Only

Salary: NJC support staff pay scales.

Range - Scale 3, point 5 £20,485 - Scale 4, point 11 £21,494

We are seeking an efficient, highly organised and hardworking Office Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team at our rapidly improving primary school with high expectations for all. This is a temporary maternity cover role, and full training and a thorough handover will be provided.

This is a key, ‘front of house’ role within the school, providing effective and professional administrative support to staff, pupils, parents and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

Provide effective and efficient day-to-day administration within the school office

Manage pupil data, including admissions, attendance and maintaining accurate records

Collate and monitor daily attendance and lunch data

Act as a first point of contact for parents, visitors and volunteers, including signing-in procedures

Manage parent communications, including emails, phone calls and newsletters

Use a range of IT systems and software to support school administration

Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements

Support and follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Update and maintain pupil records and school databases

Work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues during busy periods

Be confident using IT systems, email and telephone systems
