Office Administrator job summary

We are recruiting for a proactive, efficient, friendly and nurturing person to join our admin team as an Office Administrator in our busy village school. You will be our “front of house” school ambassador and first point of contact for parents and visitors.

Responsibilities include administrative duties, liaising with pupils, parents, staff and suppliers, and ensuring pupil welfare.

The successful applicant will have a minimum grade C at GCSE English and Maths and be competent in a range of ICT applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a proven ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment are required. Previous experience of working in a school office would be an advantage but is not essential.

The role is 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm. Term time with INSET Days (39 weeks per year). We will consider both part time (i.e. 2 or 3 days per week) and full time requests for this role.

The salary is on the Surrey Pay Grade 4 scale (£20,722 FTE), and is pro rata'd for the term time contract.
