Our Opportunity
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to this important post of School Office Manager.
The postholder will supervise the office team, contributing to a range of office duties positioned in the busy office at the Brompton Hall School. As well as all of the main duties include undertaking word processing, administrative tasks, organising visitiors and dealing with telephone queries you will be responsible for the day to day running of the school office and staff.

The successful postholder will have good organisational skills, be customer-focused and have a sensitive approach in dealing with parents, students, staff and external professionals. The appointed postholder will ideally have experience/competency in a various computer programmes to assist with office jobs. The role will involve dealing with students of all ages. Much of the office work is highly confidential and tight deadlines have to be adhered to.

Desirable candidates will be able to work well under pressure and have a high standard of accuracy, with good word-processing and computer skills. A personable telephone manner will be essential. The role may often be hectic and the postholder will need to be resilient and calm, and able to deal with a wide range of people.

The date of commencement for this post will be ASAP. Interviews will be held as soon as possible after the closing date.

Brompton Hall School is a strong special school with a history of ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ Ofsted inspections. The school is heavily over-subscribed and provides a high quality educational experience for all learners with statemented needs or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) from North Yorkshire and beyond.
