What we are looking for:
We are looking for a highly motivated, efficient and organised Office Manager. You must be a good communicator, enthusiastic and able to work within a busy, fast-paced environment as part of the office team. The ideal candidate will manage the admin team, so management experience is required. The role will be varied therefore ideally suited to an individual with an eye for detail and accuracy and who understands the importance of confidentiality and integrity in the workplace.
You will demonstrate the motivation required to work with children, resilience in dealing with challenging behaviours, and possess the ability to form and maintain appropriate supportive relationships. The post holder will be responsible for managing the admin and reception teams and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in tasks to be carried out across the school and calendar year.
Duties:
- Full line management responsibilities of the admin and reception teams.
- Managing office procedures and ensuring efficient operations
- Take responsibility for tasks and decisions from the Principal and delegate, manage and solve problems.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills to students, external agencies, suppliers
- Coordinating and communicating effectively with staff members
- Providing administrative support to various departments
- Handling clerical tasks efficiently
- Organising and maintaining office files and records
- To be a trained first aider and manage with the Health and Safety Manager renewal dates and first aid requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Proven experience in an office management role including management of a team
- Strong administrative capabilities
- Be a motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Be able to identify work priorities and manage own workload to meet deadlines
- Have high attention to detail and accuracy
- Have excellent organisation and communication skills
- Have excellent literacy / numeracy and be proficient in IT, covering all elements of Microsoft Office
- Show commitment, initiative and reliability
- Have a flexible approach to meet the varying needs of the school. This post will require some evening and work during the holidays to meet the needs of the school.
