Office Manager job summary
Polden Bower School are seeking to appoint an experienced Office Manager to join the existing office team. They will need to be have excellent IT skills in addition to having great motivation as well as being reliable organised, and a team player with a great sense of humour. This post is based primarily at Polden Bower School however there is a need for flexibility, and you may also be expected to work at our other sites on occasion.
37 hours per week 41 Weeks per year. (Term time plus, 2 weeks and INSET days)
Term time hours of work: Monday 08.30 am – 5.00 pm Tuesday – Thursday 08.30 - 4.30 pm Friday 08.30 - 3.30 pm.(negotiable) September 2024 start date
Grade 12 point 12 – 19 dependent on experience £24,102- £27,164 per annum.

Main purpose
Overall responsibility of the daily administration of the school. Provide admin support to the Head of School at Polden Bower. Line manage and organise the administrative staff and to ensure the smooth and effective running of the school office.
Duties
- Duties to include daily register checks, following the DFE ‘First Day Contact’ speaking with parents/carers to ensure student attendance is meticulously monitored.
- Attend safeguarding meetings, prepare format and take the minutes.
- Oversee the administration of all pupil related tasks, including CTF file transfers, holiday requests and School Census returns for students.
- Oversee the school MIS and ensure that data held for pupils on site is current and accurate at all times.
- PA to Head of School.
- Oversight of EEC - Reporting accidents and Admin support for Educational Visits.
- Bid writer for the school, preparing documents for securing additional funding for the school.
- Ensure that all members of the office staff present a positive image of the school to all staff, parent/carers the governing body and visitors to the school.
