The role:
As Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for parents and visitors to the school. You will work closely with the Headteacher to manage the administrative functions of the school, including HR, finance support, health and safety compliance, and lead a small office team to ensure a high level of service and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the daily operations of the school office
- Communication with parents
- Line-managing administrative staff
- Overseeing attendance, admissions and pupil records
- Supporting with finance and budgets
- Supporting with HR administration, including recruitment paperwork and DBS checks
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection procedures
- Supporting the Headteacher and and senior leadership team
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a busy administrative or office management role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills, including MS office and school systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritise and meet deadlines
- A warm, professional manner and a positive, can=do attitude
- Experience in a school or education setting is desirable but not essential
