An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Hemel Hempstead School for an Office Manager to manage the small but dedicated administration team.
The position would suit an experienced Office Manager or school Admin Assistant looking for the next stage in their career. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, well organised and committed individual with excellent communication and administration skills who would enjoy working collaboratively as part of a friendly and supportive school. They will line manage the administration team to ensure that they support the school efficiently and effectively; whilst undertaking key administrative roles in support of the senior leadership team and staff.
The Hemel Hempstead School is part of Scholars’ Education Trust creating a formal link with Sir John Lawes School (Ofsted Outstanding).
We are a popular oversubscribed school sited in pleasant grounds in the village of Boxmoor close to national rail and road links to London. Our last OFSTED inspection in December 2022 confirmed that this is a good school, where pupils get a high-quality education and that they develop the knowledge they need to achieve well in all subjects and that this is the same for all pupils, with nobody being left behind. They noticed that our pupils are keen to learn and concentrate hard in their lessons and that our pupils behave well because they understand what they’re learning. They said that behaviour is calm around the school site and that pupils say their teachers are helpful in dealing with their concerns and make them feel safe at school. Pupils told Ofsted that they are happy at this school because their welfare is carefully supported.
We are an expanding school, having been asked by Hertfordshire to increase to 217 students in each year group and over 250 in the Sixth Form, allowing us to recruit new colleagues and increase the broad range of academically rigorous courses we offer. Our facilities are excellent with world-class indoor and outdoor sporting facilities, a brand-new music, languages and science centre and plans for further improvements across the site. In September 2025 we will have a brand-new school building.
If you are interested in joining us at this exciting time, further details and an application form is available from HR@scholarseducationtrust.co.uk or on 01727 734424.
