What skills and experience we're looking for
- Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Degree in relevant subject
- SEN Experience
- Successful secondary teaching experience up to and including KS3 and GCSE (Level 2) in the English education system
- Professional knowledge and experience
- Have thorough up-to-date knowledge of and enthusiasm for the core subjects – English and/or Maths.
- Demonstrate a strong pedagogical understanding of the developments in teaching
- Have excellent behaviour management skills
- Understanding of and a commitment to Assessment for Learning
- The ability to meet the needs of individual learners with mixed attainments
- Evidence of current continuous professional development
- Experience tutoring offsite on a 1-1 basis

Further details about the role
We are looking for a teacher that specialises in English or Maths. Working predominantly off-site, on a 1to1/small group basis with our most vulnerable pupils. This will mean the successful candidate can focus on building a purposeful learning environment that meets individual educational needs of pupils, helping them to achieve their true potential. Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant will also be required to deliver multiple subjects which will be discussed at interview.
