Operations Assistant job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our busy team as an Operations Assistant across Clewer Green Oakfield First Schools. This important role, supporting the School Business Manager and will provide support across the operations of the school including premises, health and safety, finance and admin. No two days will ever be the same! This is a crucial role in the day-to-day life of the school, providing a wide range of administration and organisational support to keep all aspects of the school’s operations running as smoothly as possible. The successful candidate will:
- Work across both Clewer Green First and Oakfield First Schools to ensure the school site are secure and maintained to a high standard.
- Organise remedial repairs as required, including meeting with contractors where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations. This will include monitoring review dates, chasing contractors, booking in remedial work and keeping up-to-date records.
- Support the School Business Manager to manage site development projects. This will include meeting suppliers, obtaining comparable quotes, risk assessing work and supporting the delivery of the project.
- Manage lettings administration and ensure the smooth running of bookings.
- Assist with all aspects of recruitment administration; posting adverts, booking interviews, chasing documentation, filing.
- As a member of the admin teams at both schools, provide general admin support when required e.g. in times of peak workload.
- Process weekly breakfast and tea club bookings.
- Maintain stocktakes of stationery and curriculum supplies and organise the ordering of replacement items
- Work within the Trust and schools’ policies and procedures
- Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by the Trust Central Team, Executive Headteacher, Head of School and School Business Manager
