Outdoor Education Practitioner (Forest School) job summary
LEO Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated Outdoor Education Practitioner to support the delivery of the Outdoor Education programme across the Trust.
This is an exciting and new opportunity to support the outdoor education curriculum across the Trust, which has arisen due to the growth of this successful programme. We wish to appoint an excellent practitioner to join this friendly and creative team on a part time basis. We would love to hear from applicants who have the ability to inspire, motivate and encourage our pupils as an outdoor educator.
LEO Academy Trust currently has six academies within the Trust, with extensive grounds and facilities for outdoor learning. The outdoor provision has been developed over recent years and the Trust offer enjoys a well-earned reputation for excellence in learning in a natural environment.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. All employees of the Trust are deemed to be in regulated activity with children and as such, all offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and for this role, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed amongst other checks as appropriate.
All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a declaration regarding offences and have references requested (unless agreed otherwise), prior to the interview.

Cheam Common Junior Academy is one of 6 schools that make up LEO Academy Trust. Located in Worcester Park, Cheam Common Juniors is a four form junior school. The academy was inspected by Ofsted in September 2018 and was found to be good in all categories, with outstanding leadership. The inspectors found that "Pupils’ attainment at the end of key stage 2 is significantly above the national average.
Nearly all pupils meet the expected standards in reading, writing and mathematics. A well above average proportion of pupils attain the higher or greater depth standard."
