What the school offers its staff
Uffculme School offers co-education for children and young people of the ages 3 to 19 years from all parts of the city. Our students represent the wide cultural mix that makes up the general population of Birmingham. We are a successful school with a long and proven track record of providing high quality education for young people with a primary diagnosis of ASD. The school has grown significantly over the last nine years, and we currently cater for over 270 children over three sites.
Over the past five years, we have developed a Forest School provision that has become a critical part of the school curriculum. In the past twelve months we have built on this developing a Duke of Edinburgh program for KS5 and John Muir awards for KS4. We are very grateful for the staff who have enabled this and are looking for someone who can further enhance our Learning Beyond the Classroom offer.
The School is keen to maximise the use of local assets including Cannon Hill Park, Highbury Park, local allotments, Botanical Gardens, the Lickey Hills, as well as venturing further afield.
