Outreach Teacher job summary
We are looking to recruit an Outreach Teacher to join our excellent Steps to Success primary SEMH outreach service. We are seeking a high calibre teacher who will have knowledge and skills to provide a behaviour support service to mainstream primary schools and to develop their SEND provision. The successful candidate must be passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils and those who find it difficult to regulate their behaviour. As part of a dedicated outreach team the candidate will be required to work independently and have the skills and experience to enable autonomous practice in all areas, including behaviour management, consultation advice, service delivery and decision-making.
This is a vitally important role and the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside Whitehouse PRU staff to utilise proven techniques, to promote inclusive teaching and learning, and to reduce fixed and permanent exclusions.
The successful candidate will be part of an experienced team, under the supportive leadership of the Whitehouse PRU Executive Headteacher and Whitehouse PRU Head of School

The Whitehouse PRU is a pupil referral unit for primary school aged pupils. We help and support pupils to re-engage with their learning both academically and socially.
Our prime purpose is to prepare pupils to be ready to return to mainstream or to transfer to the most appropriate provision. Steps to Success outreach service is an integral part of Whitehouse PRU and supports mainstream primary schools in Hull.
Whitehouse PRU is part of the Venn Academy Trust which consists of a group of inspirational mainstream and specialist schools in Hull.
