Opportunities are available now within loop, part of the SEAX Trust

You will be working one-to-one, to your own timetable. Based outside the classroom in a quiet community setting, you will have the opportunity to develop an excellent rapport with your pupils.

Loop is recruiting qualified Teachers, HLTAs and Tutors with SEN experience to work on a supply basis across Essex and beyond. We support children from across the key stages who have various special needs including SEMH, ASD, MLD and SLD.

We are looking for candidates with an understanding of SEN, who are dynamic and proactive, with strong behaviour management, having had previous experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour. There is a requirement to plan lessons and activities and ensure pupil progress.

Teachers & Support Staff pay scales, in accordance with qualifications and experience.

This is a term-time only position, without guaranteed hours, on a Supply/Zero-hours Contract. You will be paid for your timetabled hours (unless cancellation notice is received). There may also be additional opportunities to provide cover across the SEAX Multi-Academy Trust schools.

Must have experience of UK curriculum, ability to travel and a minimum of three days’ availability per week. A First Aid qualification is also desirable.

Essential educational requirements

More than three years’ experience of leading a class with complex SEND Learners;
Successful recent experience working with children in a learning environment;
Proven knowledge of learners with ASC;
Proven ability and record regarding Curriculum design for a range of learners;
Prior experience at a range of academic/social/ emotional interventions desirable.

About Thriftwood School

Thriftwood offers high quality provision to learners with a range of learning needs from 5-19. The School (5-13 years) and College (14-19 years) are situated on two distinct sites in Chelmsford. We aim to offer our students a continuing education which is individualised and appropriately matched to their learning needs.
