PA to Principal and Admissions job summary
West Hill is an incredibly special place to be, supporting children with a range of additional needs at primary level. All our children have additional needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan to support their learning and we welcome children and families from across Surrey.
Our school is busy and works as it does with kind and values-led staff which is needed as you provide the important help to the leaders and prospective and current families. This role is critical and primarily supports the Principal to ensure that liaison with all stakeholders is as professional and effective as possible. This is a key administration function to help us to deliver what our schools need. You will be the first point of contact in relation to admissions and will work closely with the Local Authority in this regard. You may have experience or an interest in navigating the special school landscape as a parent or in a previous role.
No day ever looks the same, which is part of the great thing about schools. You will be calm, flexible and welcoming and support the Principal as outlined in the job specification. The children remain at the heart of all of our roles and this will be what drives you daily.
Previous experience in schools would be advantageous and skills in using technology to support efficiency is helpful. Confidentiality, discretion and accuracy are priority in all aspects of the role, combined with high levels of communication skills. All roles in our school support children on a daily basis as part everyday life. As a key member of the Safeguarding Team you will provide additional advice and guidance as required. This part of the role will come with full training.

Working Pattern: 15-20 hours per week, with flexible work pattern to be discussed, over 41 weeks a year- term time with 2 weeks in summer holidays
