Join Our Team as Principal’s PA & Clerk to the Local Governing Body

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Principal’s PA & Clerk to the Local Governing Body (LGB) to play a vital role at the heart of our school’s operations.

In this pivotal position, you will provide exceptional executive support to the Principal and senior leadership team, enabling them to focus on strategic priorities, school improvement and pupil outcomes. You will also lead the administrative and procedural work of the Local Governing Body, ensuring governance is efficient, transparent and fully compliant with Trust and statutory requirements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver high-quality clerking for the Local Governing Body, including preparing agendas, documenting meetings and maintaining accurate governance records.
  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the Principal - managing diaries, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation and supporting key leadership functions.
  • Coordinate and minute SLT meetings, ensuring actions are clearly recorded and followed up.
  • Oversee school-level compliance activities, including policy management, data protection processes, Subject Access Requests (SARs) and breach reporting.
  • Manage the school complaints process and administer legal behaviour decisions with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Work closely with the Trust Central Team to maintain consistent, high standards of administration across the school.
  • Support whole-school events and governance activities, contributing to a culture of professionalism, discretion and continuous improvement.
