What skills and experience we're looking for
The role of Personal Assistant is a critical one to the effective running of the academy. We now require a talented and committed individual to join our team to support the headteacher, senior leaders and ensure the smooth running of the academy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the education sector in a senior support staff role. Having prior school experience is not a pre-requisite for this post as we know that capable and talented individuals can learn systems quickly.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and ambitious professional to make a tangible difference to students, staff, and the wider academy community. You will work alongside highly effective middle and senior leadership teams to ensure all members of staff are supported by an effective and efficient service, adding additional capacity to our teams across the academy. As PA you will often act as the headteacher’s representative within communications, and you will ensure that academy values are upheld at all times.
We are looking for someone with the right skills and abilities who has:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills in all areas
- A strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple diaries and commitments
- Good knowledge of all ICT systems to provide efficient support
- An excellent ability to deal with competing priorities
- The ability to work effectively with all levels of seniority within the academy
- A strong commitment to professional development and a belief in young people.

The Trust is a multi-academy Co-operative Trust, which came into effect in September 2022 comprising four schools; The East Manchester Academy, a mixed school of nearly 1,000 students in the heart of Manchester’s re-generation area, Whalley Range 11-18 High School, a girls school of 1,500 students, Levenshulme High School, a girls school which is three miles away with a very similar, diverse community and Parrs Wood 11-18 High School a mixed school of nearly 2000 students in the heart of East Didsbury.
